What We Do
We provide education, training, resources, and coaching that will provide you with the skills, knowledge, and peace of mind to confidently carry a concealed handgun to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Training Overview
CHP Renewal classes are for individuals who already possess a valid Colorado CHP that needs to be renewed whether upcoming or has already expired. At the time of this writing the Delta County Sheriff's Office accepts renewals up to 6 months past the expiration date. Please see their website for further details: https://www.deltacountyco.gov/981/Concealed-Handgun-Permits.
This class will meet or exceed all the requirements of Colorado's CHP renewals; including instruction on the safe handling and storage of firearms, attack avoidance and de-escalation, interacting with law enforcement, legal updates, use of force and more. It will include a written test and live fire shooting qualification.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a renewal class and you are expected to be competent in the use and manipulation of your handgun. It is highly recommended you train prior to the class. If you do not demonstrate competency in the safe handling and shooting of your handgun you will not pass the course. There are no refunds issued if you fail to qualify. Contact us if you'd like a coaching session at the range prior to the class.
CHP Initial classes are for individuals wishing to obtain a NEW Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). These classes are offered as an enhanced NRA Basic Pistol class with additional instruction to meet/exceed the Colorado law requirements. The class is 8 hours long.

CHP Renewal Class Gear List

Handgun with three (3) magazines or speed loaders if you have them (no single action revolvers)

should be a .380, .38spl, 9 mm or larger. Nothing smaller is acceptable for the course of fire.

strong side preferred but appendix is acceptable. No shoulder, ankle, fanny, purse, etc. please – for safety reasons on the range.
